Assessing the load
Before you lift, look at what you are about to move. Ask whether it is heavy, bulky, hard to grip or likely to shift, and whether it could be split into smaller loads.
TTask · does it involve twisting, stooping or reaching? IIndividual · are you trained, fit and confident to lift it? LLoad · is it heavy, awkward or unstable? EEnvironment · are the floors clear, dry and well lit?
If in doubt, ask for help or use a trolley. No delivery is worth an injury.
